ZURICH (AP) — FIFA has cleared Belize to complete a 2014 World Cup qualifying match by provisionally lifting its suspension in a dispute over government interference.

FIFA says Belize must play its second-leg match against Montserrat before July 17 on neutral territory.

Belize won the away leg 5-2 but was suspended by FIFA in June because the government refused to give security guarantees for the return in Belmopan.

State authorities are in dispute with Belize Football Federation leader Bertie Chimilio, who they accuse of mismanagement.

Chimilio is a member of FIFA’s appeals committee and a supporter of FIFA President Sepp Blatter.

FIFA says Belize must resolve its political issues by Aug. 15 or face another suspension.
