SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane bicycle rider injured June 23 by a hit-and-run driver has died.
Family members say Dennis Widener suffered a heart attack Wednesday at a rehabilitation center where he had been recovering from broken ribs and other injuries.
The 66-year-old was riding a bike for exercise last month when he was hit. The Spokesman-Review reports police have only a vague description of the vehicle, possibly a brown Toyota Avalon.
