Letter: Inslee is wrong about pensions

The Columbian
Published: July 8, 2011, 12:00am

I noticed that in announcing his running for governor, U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Bainbridge Island, stated that he would take from state retirement funds to make more jobs. I think he should leave the retirement alone. The state will never pay it back and the retirees will be left out in the cold. It is my understanding that the state could be behind on some pension payments now.

I think the politicians should leave the pension system alone — what say the rest of you Washington retirees?
