2 dead in Wash. small plane crash

SEATTLE (AP) -- A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration says two people are dead after a small plane crashed near Granite Falls.
FAA spokesman Mike Fergus says the wreckage of the Piper PA 22 was found Saturday. He says the plane had been reported missing yesterday after the pilot did not show up in Arlington. The plane had taken off from Elk in eastern Washington.
The gender or the relationship of the two people who died was not immediately known.
