SAINT-FOUR, France (AP) — Alexandre Vinokourov of Kazakhstan has pulled out from the Tour de France after crashing during a descent on Sunday’s ninth stage of the race.
Vinokourov was one of several riders caught up in a crash on a slippery road 63.4 miles into the stage and fell into a wooded area.
He was attended to by the race doctor.
