Man shot during Springfield home invasion

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) -- The Lane County Sheriff's office says one man was shot after fight erupted during a home invasion in Springfield.
KVAL News reports that two men forced their way into a residence early Sunday morning, and fought with two people inside.
Sgt. Spence Slater says the suspects then fled the area on bicycles.
He says that the 30-year-old man shot sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The woman in the house was unhurt.
