A boat with more than a dozen people on board sank in the Columbia River late Saturday, according to the Vancouver Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

The boat, which was carrying nine adults and several children, began to sink offshore of east Vancouver, said Vancouver Fire Capt. Scott Willis. Another boater called 911 about 8:50 p.m. and rescue crews, including the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol.

All on board the vessel were wearing life jackets, Willis said.
