Suspected bomber kills 4 in northwest Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A police official says a suspected suicide bomber has killed four people at a political rally in northwestern Pakistan.

Noor Mohammad says Monday’s blast in Batgram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province also wounded 12 people. A suspicious man was being searched by guards at the entrance to the rally when the explosion occurred.

The rally was being held by Ameer Muqam, a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q party. The rally had not yet started when the attack occurred.
