SAINT-FLOUR, France (AP) — A French official says police are investigating the Tour de France crash in which a car sideswiped a group of riders, sending two of them flying off the road.
Jean-Pascal Violet, the public prosecutor for the town of Aurillac, said Monday that police began interviewing witnesses and the driver of the car that swerved into Spanish rider Juan Antonio Flecha and Dutch racer Johnny Hoogerland during Sunday’s ninth stage.
