Police: 2 pose as marshals in Salem robbery

SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- Salem police say two men posed as U.S. marshals to stage a home invasion robbery at a northeast Salem home.

Lt. Steve Birr says two men in black dress clothes showed badges and handguns and claimed to be U.S. marshals serving a search warrant for drugs early Sunday. They tied up two men in the home with zip ties and left with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

The Statesman Journal says neither the tied-up men nor two women at the home were injured.
