Toxic algae makes Willow Creek Reservoir unsafe

HEPPNER, Ore. (AP) — Don’t go in the water at the Willow Creek Reservoir near Heppner.

The Oregon Health Authority and Morrow County Health Department say toxic blue – green algae has made the water unsafe for swimming or boating.

The East Oregonian reports the algae toxin can cause numbness, dizziness and trouble breathing.
