OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Police say a newborn infant was found in a rest room trash can at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Hospital staff found the baby at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday and took it to another part of the hospital for emergency care.
Police say the mother has been identified. Detectives are questioning her.
