The proposed shoreline programs are accessible for public viewing in the areas of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver and Washougal.

All the cities and county combined their resources to draft consistent shoreline policies.

Public meetings and hearings will be posted on the website listed below. On Dec. 1, all the cities must have a plan adopted.

The Shoreline Management Act requires each area to have a plan for the “shorelines of state.” It endorses public shoreline access, protecting the environment and any activities on or near water.

The website to visit is http://www.cityofvancouver.us/shorelineupdate/default.html.
