GEORGE, Wash. (AP) — Fire crews are responding to a wildfire burning along Interstate 90 in central Washington.

The fire is burning in sagebrush, south of the highway, about 5 miles west of George at milepost 141.

Kyle Foreman of Grant County Emergency Management says the highway is open and the fire doesn’t appear to be affecting traffic.

Foreman says crews from four fire departments are responding to the blaze, which is burning in an area where there are no homes.
