Vancouver’s Downtown Association on Thursday unveiled three initiatives aimed at revitalizing the city’s core.
The group has secured $100,000 to help pay for improvements to building facades from Broadway to Washington streets and from Fifth Street north to 11th Street. It will work with the city of Vancouver on a pilot program intended to move hourly downtown employees from on-street parking to parking garages. And the group’s website now offers comprehensive information about opportunities to bring businesses downtown, including a link to locations that are listed for lease or sale in the city center.
The Vancouver Downtown Association announced the new initiatives during its quarterly meeting at the Hilton Vancouver Washington and posted more information at http://www.vdausa.org/.
