Fire damages back porch

Vancouver firefighters are on the scene of a fire that has damaged the back porch of a home at 3605 S.E. Sunrise Dr.
The fire was reported about 4:15 p.m. by a passerby who noticed smoke.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames on a back patio, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian. The fire apparently started in a barbecue.
Firefighters knocked down the fire are checking the house for smoke and fire damage.
