Daughters of Pioneers install officers

Amboy — Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington, Chapter 19, installed Nira Lang as president on June 16 at the North Clark Historical Museum in Amboy. Other officers installed include Sandy Ruff, vice president; Jayne McCarley, secretary; and Jackie Anderson, treasurer. Following a luncheon catered by Susan Christiansen, a documentary about the development and renovation of the historic church/museum was shown. Several members attended the meeting in proper pioneer attire. College scholarships of $750 each were awarded to descendants of pioneer heritage, Ruby Baker and Rachel Wooldridge.
