Salmon Creek — Dewey Weber, volunteer coordinator for the Salvation Army in Clark County, presented a plaque of appreciation to Salmon Creek Kiwanis Club at the club’s July 6 meeting. The plaque recognizes that members of Salmon Creek Kiwanis and its affiliate, the Skyview High School Key Club, volunteered a combined total of 140 hours ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the 2010 Christmas season. During those shifts, a total of $6,166.14 was donated to the kettles. This was the highest amount raised by volunteers from any of the 18 service clubs that rang bells last year in the county.
