La Center — A 1928 Model A Ford Sport Coupe belonging to Roger and Gwine Maxwell has been selected to appear in the Columbia River Concours d’Elegance.
The couple purchased the automobile about 2 years ago at an estate sale. Roger has been restoring the coupe and feels quite honored to be in the show, he said.
In order to be chosen, Maxwell had to send multiple photos of his vehicle to a selection committee. The antique and classic car show will be on Officers Row at Fort Vancouver on Aug. 7.
The event is sponsored by local Rotary Clubs.
