1 of pair of shooting suspects turns himself in

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) -- One of two brothers suspected in the shooting of a Springfield man has turned himself in, allowing authorities to focus on the search for the second sibling.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports Nicholas Friend faces attempted murder, assault and burglary charges stemming from the July 10 shooting that left Jesse Blackstone in critical condition with a bullet wound to the chest.
He turned himself in at the Lane County Jail on Monday.
Police are still searching for Friend's 25-year-old brother, David.
