MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Court records show that the Oregon man suspected of killing his wife and four children and setting fire to their house in Oregon was convicted of molesting children in California 21 years ago.

Jordan Adam Criado is in a Medford hospital, where police say they will arrest him as soon as he has recovered enough to leave. His wife and young children had stab wounds when they were pulled from their burning home.

Court records in California’s Sacramento County show that in 1990, he pleaded guilty to eight counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Deputy District Attorney Cindy Bessemer told The Associated Press there were three victims.

The convictions were first reported by the Medford Mail Tribune.
