Skyridge Middle School acknowledges two students each year who have contributed on a personal level to the school and fellow students with the Jackson Leadership and Good Will awards.

This year, recipients were Hope Richter and Zephry Lyne.

The awards are presented annually with each recipient obtaining a monetary gift from the Jack, Will & Rob Center Sustaining Fund, in conjunction with the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington.

Their names will also be put on plaques displayed within the Warren memorial showcase.

During the eighth-grade celebration ceremony, Richter was awarded the Jackson Leadership Award and Lyne the Good Will Award. Recipients are selected through staff nominations and a review committee process.

Richter is a straight-A student and is described as a person who stands up for what is right even if she stands alone.

Nominations also mentioned her kindness, compassion and encouragement.

Zephry is characterized by teachers as, “Responsible and hard working. He is an exceptional leader and consistently volunteers to help others.” He is also described as being a good friend.

Both students will attend Camas High School in the fall.
