HOUSTON (AP) — Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnic scored to lead the Bolton Wanderers to a 2-0 win over the Houston Dynamo in a friendly Wednesday night.

Bolton upped its lead to 2-0 in the 58th minute on Davies’ second goal. Martin Petrov took the ball along the left sideline toward the left box when Houston goalkeeper Tyler Deric tried to come out and make a sliding stop on the ball. Petrov went past Deric and crossed it past Houston’s Eddie Robinson, who missed a clear on it. Davies tapped the cross in off the near post.

Bolton took a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute on an Ivan Klasnic goal. Off a throw-in, Davies headed it into the box, and Klasnic, who was fighting for possession with Robinson, volleyed it into the Dynamo net from eight yards out in the middle.
