SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A pair of Salem teenagers entered guilty pleas to charges of murder, attempted murder and robbery stemming from an August stabbing at a convenience store.

The pleas by 19-year-old Andy Huerta and 16-year-old Martin Covarrubias-Rivera were made Thursday in Marion County Circuit Court.

Police say the two teenagers robbed a Circle K convenience store of beer on Aug. 29. They then stabbed 68-year-old Austreberto Morales and Robert Marsh.

Morales died of his injuries.

The Marion County District Attorney’s Office says the two men were strangers to the teenagers and did nothing to prompt the attack.

Their sentencing is set for Aug. 22.
