BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- Sergio Batista could be on the way out as Argentina's soccer coach following the country's quarterfinal loss in Copa America.
Prominent Argentine soccer official German Lerche said in an interview Friday that the country's soccer federation will meet Monday. He said the meeting would center on the "coach continuing, or not."
Lerche called the Copa America a "sporting failure" for Argentina, which is the host for the South American championship that ends Sunday.
Argentina was eliminated by Uruguay on penalty kicks.
