MOUNT ANGEL, Ore. (AP) — Police say a 54-year-old Oregon man was fatally shot as he arrived home from a business trip in an airport shuttle van. A 30-year-old son of the victim’s girlfriend has been arrested for investigation of murder and assault.

Marion County sheriff’s spokesman Don Thomson says Albert G. Hopkins of the small town of Mount Angel suffered multiple gunshot wounds Friday and was declared dead at the scene. Officers arrested Timothy D. Davis and booked him into the Marion County jail, where he’ll be held without bail until a Monday court appearance.

Thomson says a revolver was recovered. Police say no motive for the shooting is known.

The shuttle driver was unhurt.

Mount Angel police and sheriff’s detectives are investigating.

Mount Angel is south of Portland.
