A Vancouver man was involved in a fatal accident in southwest Portland that killed a Tigard, Ore., moped rider.

Police said Jamie Keiser, 41, of Vancouver was driving a GMC pickup on Taylors Ferry Road at Southwest 62nd Avenue when a man driving a moped made an extremely wide right turn that took him into the pickup’s path. The accident was reported at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday.

The moped rider suffered massive injuries and died later at a local hospital. He was identified as Richard Morley, 76.

Portland police said Keiser was driving below the speed limit and cooperated with investigators, and that no citations are expected to be issued.
