CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Justin Braun scored three goals as Chivas USA extended its unbeaten streak to five matches with a 3-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.

Chivas (6-7-8) beat the Dynamo for the first time since 2006, snapping a 12-game winless streak against Houston in MLS play.

Justin Braun opened the scoring in the 31st minute putting a slight touch on Ante Jazic’s cross for his fifth goal of the season. Braun doubled Chivas’ lead in the 40th, breaking alone on net and chipping the ball over Dynamo All-Star goalkeeper Tally Hall.

Braun added his third in the 86th minute off a Chivas USA counter attack.

Houston’s best opportunity came in the 61st minute when Will Bruin broke through the Chivas defense firing a chance just wide of net.
