Letter: Rubio’s tactics are unreasonable

The Columbian
Published: July 23, 2011, 12:00am

After eight years of some of the slowest job growth in U.S. history, the loss of 750,000 jobs a month during 2008, two unfunded wars, an unfunded Medicare Part D, a housing crisis, and a Wall Street death spiral, Tea Party favorite (not my description) Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and blamed President Obama for our current debt crisis.

Rubio stated he would not vote to raise the U.S. debt ceiling, and would instead rather see the U.S. fall into an economic crisis that would outlive most of us, if Republican demands were not met — demands that include an unregulated, tax-free, predatory business environment that promises to poison, fleece, and ultimately destroy Middle America.

Unless you are reading this from a tax-deducted corporate jet, vote for a Democrat.
