The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Saturday afternoon robbery of an in-store Chase Bank branch in Hazel Dell.

The robbery was reported at 3:47 p.m. at the branch inside the Fred Meyer store at 7700 N.E. Highway 99, according to dispatch records.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Linda Hayes said a man walked into the branch, passed a note to the teller demanding cash and left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen leaving the store and heading south. More detailed descriptions of the robber were not immediately available.

Hayes said deputies brought in a K9 officer to track the man but were not successful. She said the case is still under investigation.
