WASHOUGAL — Hey, this looks familiar.

The same three guys — from the same team — who have dominated the 250 Class of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series this year made the podium again Saturday at the Washougal MX National.

Dean Wilson still has not found a way to win an overall, yet he still has the season points lead.

Blake Baggett took the Washougal overall with a first-place finish in the first moto, then a third-place finish in the second moto for 45 points. Tyla Rattray went 2-2 for 44 points and second place, while Wilson ended up third overall with a 4-1 and 41 points.

The three all compete for Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki. Wilson now leads the season with 346 points, despite not having a single overall win this season. Rattray is second at 333, with Baggett in third at 329 with four events left in the summer.

“If consistency is what it takes to win the championship, I’ll take it,” said Wilson, adding he is frustrated about not having a win in 2011.

Baggett had no clue where he stood in the second moto after a slow start and a crash.

“The second moto was a typical Baggett moto,” he said with a laugh. “I took out some fencing.”

Toward the end of the race, he thought there was no way he was in the hunt for the overall.

“I had no clue I had won,” he said.

When his crew chief told him he had, indeed, won, he asked, “Did you hit your head?”

It’s all true. Baggett won, and his teammates were right there with him on the podium — again.
