Yakima Co. prosecutors to try teen as adult

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- Prosecutors have a charged a 16-year-old Yakima teen with first-degree assault in a shooting that left another teenager paralyzed.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the severity of the charge means Angel Antonio Gonzalez is being tried as an adult.
Authorities say that Gonzalez shot 18-year-old Jose Meza in the early hours of July 6 in Wapato. The motive remains unclear.
Gonzalez is being held on a $1 million bail.
