Victim’s last words: ‘Dad, someone is shooting’

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) — The father of one of the first officially announced victims of the massacre at a Norwegian youth camp says his son was full of love for people and for the outdoors.

Gunnar Linaker from Bardu in northern Norway was one of the four victims named Tuesday by Norwegian police.

Linaker was fron Bardu in northern Norway. His father Roald tells The Associated Press by telephone that Gunnar was “a calm, big teddy-bear with lots of humor and lots of love.”

Linaker says he had been on the phone with his son concerning another matter when the shooting started. He says, “He said to me: ‘Dad, dad, someone is shooting,’ and then he hung up.”

At least 76 were killed in the rampage and an earlier bomb attack on government buildings in Oslo.
