LOS ANGELES (AP) — Oregon is favored to win the Pac-12 football title in the annual media poll.

The Ducks are picked to win the North Division and the inaugural Pac-12 title game by 28 of the 42 voters in the poll released Tuesday before the league’s media day.

Southern California is favored to win the South Division, edging Arizona State. The Trojans are ineligible for postseason play again this season under NCAA sanctions.

Stanford is picked to finish second in the North, followed by Washington, Oregon State, California and Washington State.

Newcomer Utah is picked third in the South Division, followed by Arizona, UCLA and Colorado.

The preseason poll has correctly picked the Pac-10 champion in 10 of the past 11 years.
