ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow have taken the field as the Denver Broncos open their first training camp under new coach John Fox.

Although Orton is on the trading block, he’s working with the first-team offense.

Orton is in the prime of his career as he enters his sixth NFL season, but the Broncos want to see what they have in Tebow, an intriguing second-year pro who started the final three games last season after former coach Josh McDaniels selected him the first round of last year’s draft.

Orton is due $8.829 million this season and doesn’t want to be a backup in Denver, where he’s thrown 41 touchdown passes to go with 21 interceptions the last two seasons while compiling an 11-18 record.
