METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Saints coach Sean Payton says New Orleans has agreed to terms with several free agents who were with the club last season, including starting strong-side linebacker Scott Shanle.

Payton says other free agents coming back include linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar, cornerback Leigh Torrence, and special teams standout Chris Reis, who also plays safety.

Payton’s announcement Thursday came after the agent for left tackle Jermon Bushrod confirmed he would return as well.

The Saints also have signed three of their six draft picks: cornerback Johnny Patrick, defensive end Greg Romeus and linebacker Nate Bussey

Patrick was selected in the third round, while Romeus and Bussey were both taken in the seventh. Still unsigned are first-round picks Cam Jordan and Mark Ingram.
