ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves’ injury problems continue to grow with the team placing outfielder Nate McLouth on the 15-day disabled list with a lower abdominal strain.

The move comes after catcher Brian McCann (strained left oblique) and outfielder Jordan Schafer (finger) were placed on the disabled list on Wednesday. Chipper Jones has missed three straight starts with a strained quadriceps.

The Braves recalled outfielder Jose Constanza from Triple-A Gwinnett. Constanza will make his major league debut as the starting center fielder and leadoff hitter against the Florida Marlins on Friday night.

Constanza, a former Indians prospect who signed with Atlanta as a minor league free agent on Nov. 16, 2010, was hitting .312 with one homer, 25 RBIs and 23 stolen bases at Gwinnett.
