Vancouver police, after asking for help finding 13-year-old Amber Dawn Pugh on Friday afternoon, sent an update shortly before 7 p.m. Friday that she’s been found safe.

Amber had been last seen about 5:15 p.m. Thursday, when she left home to meet an unidentified friend at the S&S Mart at East 33rd and S streets in the Rose Village neighborhood, according to a bulletin from police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

She returned home and police officers are speaking with her “to document her whereabouts over the last 24 hours,” police said in the updated bulletin.
