A blaze just before 3 p.m. Saturday destroyed a manufactured home at 8401 N.E. 276th St. in the Daybreak area.
No one was injured in the blaze, said Capt. Blaine Dohman of Clark County Fire & Rescue.
The fire department responded to a neighbor’s report of the fire. Smoke and flames were leaping from the structure, more than 2,500 square feet in size, when firefighters arrived.
No one was at home at the time, Dohman said. Firefighters had to cut a gate lock to get access to the house, and took about 30 minutes to gain control over the blaze, Dohman said. Because there are no fire hydrants in the area, the department used water tenders provided by Clark County Fire District 3 and Clark County Fire District 10.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Abigail Clemon and Lorri Henry own the home, according to Clark County property records.
The fire caused about $100,000 in damage, said Battalion Chief Brett Graham.
