WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Nationals have recalled right-hander Yunesky Maya from Triple-A Syracuse to face the New York Mets.

Maya replaced scheduled starter Jason Marquis, who was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks before Saturday night’s game. Maya entered with an 0-1 record and a 6.86 ERA in four starts for Washington this season.

The Nationals also recalled infielder Brian Bixler from Syracuse. In 45 games with Washington, Bixler is hitting .196 with one RBI.
