PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Two Oregon men have been indicted on charges accusing them of a string of armed robberies in the Portland metro area.
One of the men was previously charged in the shooting death last month of a 14-year-old Portland boy.
Portland police said Wednesday that a Multnomah County grand jury has indicted 22-year-old Jamiel Lewis Smith and 20-year-old Jimmie Ray Sanders-Garcia on multiple counts of robbery.
Sanders-Garcia had previously been indicted on a murder charge in the April 18 shooting of Shiloh Hampton near the Lloyd Center mall in Portland.
A Portland police spokesman said Wednesday he did not know whether Smith or Sanders-Garcia had an attorney.
