Portland-based Miller Paint has entered into an agreement to acquire the business operations and selected assets of four Kelly-Moore Paints stores that closed on May 26, including one from Vancouver.

Clients of the closed Vancouver store, which had been located at 1900 N.E. 162nd Ave., will be able to receive service and support from a nearby Miller Paint store once the transaction closes, according to Dan Saunders, advertising and marketing manager with Miller. Miller Paint may also hire some workers and will begin offering Kelly-Moore products.

Similar arrangements are planned at three Kelly-Moore stores in Oregon, as well as a fourth Oregon store that has not yet closed down.

Miller Paint has four locations in Clark County, according to its website. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
