EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- A federal judge has dismissed two of four claims in a whistleblower lawsuit filed by a fired former assistant police auditor against the city of Eugene.
The Register-Guard reports that Dawn Reynolds still claims she was illegally fired for disclosing alleged abuses of authority and violations of state and federal law by Eugene police officers and the police auditor's office.
She's seeking $550,000 in damages.
Last week, a federal judge granted a city motion to dismiss Reynolds' claims the city wrongfully discharged her and violated her federal free speech rights.
Reynolds, Gissiner and attorneys on both sides of the case could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
