MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. (AP) — Sione Pouha has gathered a handful of his New York Jets defensive linemates, including first-round pick Muhammad Wilkerson, at a high school field to go through position drills while the NFL lockout drags on.

Pouha, Wilkerson, Mike DeVito, Jamaal Westerman and Ropati Pitoitua hit blocking sleds and went through other drills for about an hour Thursday, adding the physical element they’ve been missing while working out individually.

It was the first time the players met Wilkerson, the 30th overall pick, and DeVito says he was impressed with how quickly the rookie picked up on things.

Pouha received permission from the school’s football coach to use the field, and says the group plans to meet frequently while the lockout continues.
