COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Matt Juengel and Kevin Gonzalez each hit three-run homers and Texas A&M cruised to an 11-0 victory over Wright State in the College Station Regional on Friday night.
Michael Wacha (8-3), who took over as the ace of the Aggies (43-18) in place of the injured John Stilson, scattered five hits while shutting out the Raiders over six innings.
Adam Smith started the scoring in the second with a single to left-center that center fielder Ryan Ashe misplayed, and Smith came all the way around to score. Juengel followed later in the inning with his three-run shot off Raiders starter Michael Woytek (7-4), giving the Aggies a 6-0 lead.
Gonzalez added his own three-run homer off Raiders reliever Cody Kopilchack in the fifth.
The Aggies will face Seton Hall on Saturday, while the Raiders (36-18) will take on Arizona in an elimination game.
