LOS ANGELES (AP) — The man suspected of beating a San Francisco Giants fan into a coma at Dodger Stadium will remain jailed after a hearing with parole officials.

Convicted felon Giovanni Ramirez had a hearing Friday at a Los Angeles jail to determine if he violated terms of his parole when he was arrested for the beating of Bryan Stow on March 31.

The closed hearing looked at evidence to see whether Ramirez had committed assault with intent to great bodily injury or if he had been found in possession of a gun.

Ramirez’s attorney says the parole panel ordered Ramirez kept in jail, but that decision had nothing to do with the beating allegation.

Police say they’re still looking for a second attacker and a woman who drove their car.
