INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host an AMA race later this summer that will feature motorcycles powered by Harley-Davidson engines.
Track officials say the Pro Vance and Hines XR1200 division will compete as a warmup to the MotoGP race at the track Aug. 26-28. The division features Harley-Davidson's V-Twin engines.
This will be the first time the AMA's newest pro division will compete on the track's 16-turn, 2.621-mile road course.
The MotoGP, MotoGP2 and 125cc races also are scheduled for that weekend.
The series will test at the track Aug. 18-19.
