FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Chris Elder hit a grand slam and Oral Roberts eliminated TCU with an 8-4 victory in the Fort Worth Regional on Sunday.

The Golden Eagles (38-21) needed to beat Dallas Baptist twice to advance to the super regionals for the first time.

Leading 4-3 in the sixth, Oral Roberts loaded the bases with two hits and a walk before Elder homered to right off Teddy Nowell.

Joe Spring (5-1), who relieved starter Bryce Smolen in the third, picked up the victory. Reliever Erik Miller (7-7) took the loss for TCU (43-19).

TCU starter Kyle Winkler, who has battled elbow soreness this season, left in the first inning holding his right elbow.
