Letter: Don’t cut school libraries

The Columbian
Published: June 5, 2011, 5:00pm

I am a 13-year-old middle-school student in Evergreen Public Schools. The Evergreen district is planning to make cuts in its school libraries. We are trying to get the word out that they shouldn’t be cut. In the libraries, you don’t just check out books. In libraries we read, write, research, use technology, learn, enjoy school, and so much more. Clubs and school programs are also run in them. They help us all throughout our school life.

Please help spread the word: don’t cut the libraries. Join our Facebook page: “Keep the Libraries.”
