COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (AP) — A southern Oregon woman died after she was found unconscious on the shoulder of Interstate 5 near Cottage Grove.
Oregon State Police identified the woman as 60-year-old Carol Lee Weaver of Roseburg and said the death may have been related to a medical problem.
Troopers say a motorist who stopped to see if a woman needed help with a disabled vehicle Sunday evening found Weaver not breathing.
A second motorist was flagged down and called 911 before starting CPR. A trooper arrived and took over until paramedics arrived but Weaver was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after she was found.
